Justin L. Vigdor has joined the Rochester office Bond, Schoeneck & King.
For a number of years Vigdor represented several retail chains and was involved in shopping center leasing and financing. During a later period he represented several public companies headquartered in Rochester, occupied with public and private securities offerings and related work under the Securities Act and Securities Exchange Act. In recent years, his practice has focused on general business matters, not-for-profit organizations and alternative dispute resolution.
Vigdor is a life fellow with the American Bar Foundation and the New York Bar Foundation. He was the recipient of the following awards: Justin L. Vigdor Senior Lawyer Award, Monroe County Bar Association; New York State Bar Foundation’s Lifetime Achievement Award; Humanitarian Award from the Foundation of the Monroe County Bar; Nathaniel Award for commitment to justice, The Daily Record; Philanthropy Award from the Rochester Area Community Foundation; Rodenbeck Award for Service to the Community and Legal Profession; and the Woerner Kollmorgen Award for Community Leadership from Nazareth College.
Vigdor is a trustee for the Ames Amzalak Memorial Trust and Temple B’rith Kodesh Foundation. He has served as president of the Monroe County Bar Association, the Foundation of the Monroe County Bar, the New York State Bar Association, the New York Bar Foundation, the Al Sigl Community of Agencies and the Automobile Club of Western and Central New York.
Vigdor is a certified federal mediator, one of New York’s Uniform Law commissioners and an official referee of the New York State Commission on Judicial Conduct. He is also on the dean’s advisory committee of the Eastman School of Music and is chairman of the board of directors of the Rochester Fringe Festival. He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America, New York Super Lawyers and Who’s Who.
