Dozens of judges and attorneys kicked off the holiday season Thursday at the 2014 Monroe County Bar Association Bench and Bar Holiday Party at the Wintergarden at Bausch & Lomb Place.
The annual event includes a recognition of the judiciary, which turned out in full force, from all levels of courts. There were even some retired judges.
Among those in attendance were several federal judges, including Judge Frank P. Geraci Jr., who will become chief judge of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York in March; Justice Henry J. Scudder, presiding justice of the 22-county Appellate Division, Fourth Department; and Judge Craig J. Doran, administrative judge of the eight-county Seventh Judicial District.
The celebration this year also included a collection of gloves, hats, scarves and other winter wear, which will be distributed to students at School 29 on behalf of the Lawyers for Learning program.
