More than 600 people turned out Friday to welcome in the holiday season with Brown & Hutchinson at the firm’s annual holiday party and toy collection.
“We are extremely grateful for the continued support from our colleagues, clients, friends and families whose generous contributions make a joyous holiday season for so many kids who would otherwise go without,” said Lolita Forsett, chief administrator, Brown & Hutchinson LLP.
Each guest brought a gift which will be wrapped by a group of volunteers from the firm and a local church.
The firm partners with New Life Fellowship Church, which distributes the toys to children in the 19th Ward at its annual “Love in Action Christmas Party.”
“Seeing the children’s eyes light up and the sheer joy on their faces is worth everything that goes into the planning and preparation of these events,” Forsett said. “It is very exciting to see the community come together in the season of giving.”
The annual event, at the festively decorated Wintergarden at Bausch & Lomb Place, featured music by Jimmie Tjari Highsmith Jr. and his band members Tony Hiller, Larry Garlington and Fatima Razic.
The celebration began in 2000 as a way for Brown & Hutchinson to show appreciation to the firm’s clients, friends and family for their continued support throughout the year and to make Christmas a little brighter for less fortunate area children.
