Webster woman charged after hitting police car

Liliya Blekot, 21, of Webster, was charged Sunday night with driving while intoxicated after she struck a state police off Route 104.

Trooper William Schneider, according to a release, was pulled off the north shoulder of the westbound lanes of Route 104, east of Bay Road, at 9:06 p.m. when his patrol car was struck from behind by a car allegedly driven by Blekot.

Schneider was verifying directions to an address to which he was providing a courtesy transport. There were no injuries. Traffic was reduced to one lane for three hours while the accident was investigated.
