Tully Rinckey names managing partner

Peter J. Pullano has been named managing partner of the Rochester office of Tully Rinckey PLLC’s Rochester office.

Pullano, a criminal law defense attorney with more than 20 years of experience, will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the firm’s Rochester legal team.

“I am honored by this opportunity to take a leadership role in one of the nation’s most innovative law firms,” Pullano said. “I look forward to working with Tully Rinckey PLLC’s stellar attorney and support staff team in Rochester to significantly increase efficiency and client service.”

Firm growth has necessitated elevation of key attorneys, according to a release, to newly-created managing partner positions at each office. The reorganization of Tully Rinckey’s management structure is part of a plan developed to decentralize key management functions and reach new levels of efficiency and client service firm-wide.

The firm’s latest growth phase began with the establishment of a Syracuse office in August 2012, followed by the opening of the firm’s Buffalo office in January 2013, and the opening of the Rochester office in July 2013.

Pullano has represented clients in high-profile, complex federal criminal cases, taking on cases others would not. He is the head of Tully Rinckey PLLC’s New York State Criminal Practice group, which the firm said is growing to be one of the largest of its kind in New York state.

Pullano, selected as a 2014 Upstate New York Super Lawyer by Thomson Reuters, earned his bachelor’s degree from SUNY Buffalo State and his juris doctor degree from Albany Law School of Union University. A graduate of East Rochester High School, Pullano is routinely called upon by local media to discuss state and federal criminal law matters and trends.
