Empire Justice Center has appointed Jim W. Rahmlow to its Board of Directors for a 3-year term. Rahmlow is a partner in the tax department of Rochester’s Mengel, Metzger, Barr & Co. LLP.
“Jim has experience and wisdom that will be major assets to our Board of Directors, and his passion for the rights of the poor, disabled and disenfranchised people of our community is incredibly strong,” said Anne Erickson, Empire Justice Center’s president and CEO. “This combination of expertise and commitment to the issues that Empire Justice Center promotes will help to make Jim a wonderful board member.”
Rahmlow’s firm is proud to have him represent them on the Board of Directors, they said in a release.
“We encourage all employees to have an active presence within the Rochester community as well as at the state level, and Jim’s role with Empire Justice Center is a great example,” said Mark Kovaleski, managing partner for Mengel Metzger Barr & Co. “Our firm has been a part of the Rochester business landscape for decades. We not only work here, but our employees live here and raise their families here, as well …”
In addition to his new position on the Empire Justice Center Board of Directors, Rahmlow is also the chairman of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Man/Woman of the Year Celebration, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Estate of Planning Council of Rochester.
