Buffalo attorney to preside at conference

Scott E. Friedman, managing partner at Buffalo law firm Lippes Mathias Wexler Friedman LLP, will serve as a co-moderator Thursday at the third annual New England Family Business Conference  at Babson College in Massachusetts.

The panel presentation, titled “The ‘Right’ Way to Bring Children into the Business – Considerations for Ownership/Leadership Transfer to the Next Generation,” will also be moderated by Mark Anderson, senior wealth strategist for Wilmington Trust.

Friedman is also the author of seven books, including “Family Business and Positive Psychology: New Planning Strategies for the 21st Century” (American Bar Association, 2013). He is a frequent lecturer on the topic of positive psychology and running family businesses and regularly contributes to articles on the subject regionally and nationally.

Friedman is the founder of Next Gen Advisors LLC, a consulting firm that works closely with family business owners and members to develop strong relationships and best business practices.
