LeChase Construction Services announced several staff changes, promoting Kevin Dooley to senior project manager and Barbara S. Sauer to corporate controller, and adding Scott Baker as project superintendent, all in the Rochester office.

Dooley joined LeChase in 2004 as a project manager. He brings more than 18 years of industry experience to his new role and will continue utilizing his in-depth skills to further enhance the company’s client-service capabilities, concentrating on operations and growth in the firm’s Western New York region, according to a release.

He attended SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry at Syracuse University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management; he also holds an OSHA 30-hour training certification.

Sauer will be primarily responsible for day-to-day accounting operations and help enhance, monitor and enforce the firm’s financial policies, procedures, internal control compliance and external reporting. She will also be responsible for oversight of special projects and financial planning and analysis.

“During her tenure with LeChase, Barb has brought the highest levels of integrity and professionalism to her work, and has emerged as a true leader in our finance department,” LeChase Executive Vice President and CFO Chuck Caranci said in a release. “I am confident that she will continue playing an integral role in the future growth and success of our organization.”

Sauer joined LeChase in 2011 as assistant corporate controller. Prior to her role with the firm, she served as CFO and vice president of finance and administration at Rochester Museum & Science Center where she successfully managed a multimillion-dollar balance sheet and oversaw all financial, human resources and risk management functions.

Sauer earned an MBA from Rochester Institute of Technology and a bachelor of science in Accounting from St. John Fisher College. She is active in numerous local civic and nonprofit organizations, and resides in Webster.

Baker brings nearly a decade of progressive industry experience to the LeChase team. Most recently, he worked as a project superintendent for Atlanta-based Holder Construction Company, where he oversaw numerous multimillion-dollar commercial projects—spanning both new building construction and renovations.

Baker studied Construction Management at Colorado State University and holds several industry certifications, including OSHA (30-hour training), evacuation safety; arc flash safety/code compliance; confined space; and first aid/CPR/ AED.

He resides in Fairport with his wife Emily and their three children.
