Manning Squires Hennig, a Batavia-based commercial construction firm, has named Samantha Nickerson as its new chief financial officer and Brian Kelly as senior project manager.
Nickerson has 15 years of accounting experience and five years as CFO at Genesee Country Village & Museum in Mumford. She will be responsible for all aspects of accounting, finance and human resources at Manning Squires Hennig.
Active in the community, Nickerson is a board member for the Big Springs Historical Society, a finance committee member for the Susan B. Anthony House, and a volunteer for Junior Achievement of Central Upstate New York. She earned her degree in accounting from State University at Geneseo. She and her husband, Shane, have three children: Hazell, Leigh and Jerod.
Kelly brings 20 years of industry experience, with 19 coming with The Pike Co. as its project director, responsible for oversight of project teams and operations, business development, client relations, employee growth and overall risk management. He will assume a similar role with Manning Squires Hennig, with added emphasis on safety, schedule, budget and quality.
Kelly earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Clarkson University. A captain with the West Webster Fire Department, serving since 2005, and rescue squad leader for the Monroe County Special Operations Unit for the past two years, Kelly and his family live in Webster. He and Emily, his wife of 15 years, have two sons: Lukas and Jack.
