The first official retail tenant for Tower280 at Midtown will be Branca Italian Restaurant, opening its second location on the northwestern corner of the tower, occupying approximately 4,500 square feet.
The announcement was made Monday by developers Buckingham Properties and Morgan Management.
Josh Miles, Branca owner and operator, describes his restaurant as a neighborhood Italian eatery honoring the culinary history of Italy by offering simple yet flavorfully complex dishes. Miles and his partners, Tyler Wolk and John Ramsey, are excited to bring a modified version of the current Branca in Bushnell’s Basin to downtown Rochester. This downtown location will be one of several restaurant concepts that Miles owns and operates in the Greater Rochester Area.
Tower280 brings nearly 50,000 square feet of retail to Rochester’s Center City. Availabilities range from 1,000 square feet up to 14,000 square feet.
The mixed-use building also includes two floors of office space, and 181 contemporary apartments. Several residential leases are signed, with occupancy scheduled for the first of the year. Architectural and engineering firm Bergmann Associates recently announced the relocation of its headquarters to the entire second floor. An additional major office tenant will be announced soon.
