Host a student for Thanksgiving Day

Just as the Native Americans welcomed settlers to the New World to the First Thanksgiving feast, Rochester Global Connections invites the Rochester community to welcome international students from local universities by hosting them for Thanksgiving Dinner.

It may be an opportunity for international students far from home for the first time to meet a local family and observe local customs and holidays in an informal setting.

For 58 years, people from the Rochester area have opened their homes and hearts to visiting scholars, international students studying at local universities, and international visitors sponsored by the State Department and U.S. Congress.

To host international students on Thanksgiving, apply on the connection’s website at www.RochesterGlobalConnections.org by Friday, Nov. 13.
