Fourteen local restaurants are set to compete for the title of Rochester’s best chili next month.
Rochester’s 12th annual Chili Cookoff is set for 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 14 at Genesee Center for the Arts & Education, 713 Monroe Avenue, Rochester.
Each ticket includes unlimited chili samples, a local beer and a hand-made ceramic bowl.
Tickets are $25 per person, or $75 for a family of four with children under 12 in advance, or $30 and $80, respectively, at the door. Proceeds support the the center. Tickets are available at www.rochesterarts.org or call the Genesee Center Administrative Office at (585) 244-1730.
Entries include meat, vegetarian and vegan recipes.
Competitors include: Abundance Cooperative Market, Dogtown Hots, Drifters LB, Geva Theatre Center, Hart’s Local Grocers, Jeremiah’s Tavern, Jines, Marshall Street Bar & Grill, O’Callaghan’s Pub, Owl House, Roam Café, Salena’s Mexican Restaurant, Scotch House Pub, and Sol Burrito.
