SCHENECTADY — An appeals court has upheld the convictions of a pair of prisoners serving lengthy prison terms in upstate New York.
The Daily Gazette of Schenectady reports 36-year-old Luvadollar Godallah and 57-year-old Eric Launder’s appeals were rejected last week.
Godallah appealed his burglary and assault convictions in a 2011 home invasion at a Schenectady apartment. Authorities say Godallah was one of two people to go in the home for drugs and money. Three people in the residence were stabbed, but survived.
He’s serving 24 years to life behind bars.
Launder appealed his arson conviction, saying prosecutors failed to prove he set the small fire in May 2011. He’s behind bars serving a 25-year prison term.
