Lawyers’ guild to hold Christmas luncheon

The St. Thomas More Lawyers’ Guild announced that the annual Christmas Luncheon will be held Dec. 11, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at the Monroe County Bar Association Offices, on the 10th floor of the Telesca Center for Justice at One W. Main St., in Rochester.

The luncheon speaker will be the Rev. Thomas R. Rosica, CSB, who is the pope’s current English language spokesman, and who has assisted Pope Francis in the recent Synod of Bishops in Rome dealing with the importance of the family. He is a graduate of Aquinas Institute, Regis College in Toronto, the Pontifical Institute in Rome, and the Ecole Biblique in Jerusalem.

He is also the chief executive officer of Salt and Light, Canada’s Catholic Television Network. Thomas Trevett, chairman of the Christmas Luncheon, said that the topic of the talk with be, “The Natural Moral Law, The Rich Complementariness of a Man and a Woman in Marriage and in the Raising of Children.”
