Trevett Cristo Salzer & Andolina, P.C., a Rochester-based law firm with expertise across a broad range of commercial and personal practice areas, has named Alan J. De Peters special counsel.

De Peter’s area of focus is insurance defense, and he specializes in litigation. “Alan’s experience with litigation and international matters makes him a strong asset to our team,” said Louis Cristo, Partner at Trevett Cristo.

De Peters received his bar accreditation in New York state. He graduated cum laude from Quinnipiac University School of Law with a Juris Doctor.

Outside of the courtroom, De Peters is a member of various organizations, including the Defense Research Institute, New York State Insurance Association and Buffalo Niagara Builders Associations.

Clark Patterson Lee, a full-service design firm, announced that James Cretekos, P.E. and Jennifer LaChance have joined its team in Rochester.

LaChance is a senior associate and architect who will work with Clark Patterson Lee’s medical design team on various health care projects. She brings 18 years of experience in the industry to her position. In the beginning of her career, she worked in Boston at TRO, a firm specializing in health care architecture. She moved to Rochester in 2001 and worked for SWBR Architects for more than 13 years in its life-services studio. At SWBR, LaChance was a project architect and an associate and we worked on various local hospital projects. LaChance received her bachelor of environmental design in architecture from Miami University.

Cretekos is a civil engineer who will perform site engineering, including project layout, site grading design, utility design, drainage and floodplain analysis, erosion and sediment control design, stormwater pollution prevention plans and reports. He will work with government agencies, municipalities, contractors and clients.

Cretekos’ area of special expertise is storm-water management design. Previously, he worked as a design engineer at BME Associates, as transportation construction inspector III with the New York State DOT and as resident inspector at Clark Patterson Lee in 2009 and 2010. Cretekos received his B.S. in civil engineering from Clarkson University.

Popli Design Group, a multi-disciplined architectural, engineering, land surveying, and construction services firm, announced the addition of the following individuals to the firm:

Marie Saltrelli

Marie Saltrelli

Marie Saltrelli has joined the firm as an accounting assistant.Saltrelli has more tha 27 years of professional accounting experience, including eight years in the architecture/engineering consulting industry. Her primary responsibilities include accounts receivable management, accounts payable support, and payroll assistance.

 

 

Tyler Whitesell has joined the firm as a junior mechanical Engineer. In December he received his B.S. in mechanical engineering technology from Alfred State College.

In addition to his engineering design duties, Whitesell will be spearheading the firm’s latest BIM template

 

effort as well as working to implement its laser scan to BIM technology.

 

 

 

Roger Brainard

Roger Brainard has joined the firm as a project manager in the architecture division. He brings 35 years of diverse information technology and project management experience in the architecture and construction industry to PDG. Brainard’s responsibilities include design, production, code reviews, estimating, quality review of work, staff mentoring, and client management.

Roberts Communications has  hired Megan Jaffarian as senior account supervisor.

She will help lead the account service team in developing and executing client projects, including email and direct mail marketing programs, collateral development and social media campaigns for several  key clients. Her extensive experience in marketing and digital and social media will offer strategic insight for several key clients, including Xerox Corporation and Textron, Inc.

Previously, Jaffarian led multiple B2B accounts in the energy industry at Brand Cool and most recently worked freelance as an account manager for local agencies like Truth Collective and Makeway. She also held several account service roles at during her previous 7-year tenure at Roberts.

Jaffarian received a Bachelor of Science in public relations and visual art from the State University of New York at Fredonia. She is also the immediate past president of the Rochester Advertising
