A former U.S. Postal Service worker has admitted to stealing from the Sodus Point Post Office in Wayne County.

Jennifer Passeck, 26, pleaded guilty to theft of public money before U.S. District Judge Elizabeth A. Wolford. Passeck is facing a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison, a fine of $250,000, or both.

Passeck was a relief postmaster at the Sodus Point Post Office between March 2013 and March 2015. She stole stamp revenues, post office box rental payments, and issued money orders to herself, all totaling $19,504, according to the office of U.S. Attorney William J. Hochul Jr.
