What do you enjoy most about your role?

I enjoy addressing systemic racism through the lens of system change.

What has been the biggest challenge you’ve dealt with over the past year?

The biggest challenge has been the ability to provide resources to the community during the COVID-19 pandemic.

What do you see as the biggest changes in the legal industry in the next 3-5 years?

Legislative challenges to suppress voting rights in the country will be changes that the legal industry will have to address in the next few years.

What advice would you give law students who are graduating this year?

Law students should prepare to address the challenges of the 21st Century, i.e., voter suppression, white supremacy, aftermath of pandemic, etc.

What are you most looking forward to doing as COVID restrictions ease?

I am looking forward to resuming in person the work of the Racial Equity Roundtable and supporting our newly elected president of the United States as he works to make our country more equitable for people of color.
