What do you enjoy most about being a litigator?
I most enjoy working with clients to find strategic solutions to business-based problems which arise in an adversarial setting. Often those business solutions are found through creative, goal-oriented thinking which balances the need for litigation against the ability and value of achieving the same result where possible in a non-litigation setting. The challenge and personal satisfaction of exceeding client expectations in addressing business disputes is among the highlights of being a litigator.
What do you consider your biggest success in navigating the litigation process during the pandemic?
Countering the substantially changed and more challenging litigation climate with even greater use of technology and teaming on the delivery of services without sacrificing efficiency or cost-effectiveness in accomplishing strategic goals for clients.
What trial are you most proud of in your career?
While it is difficult to identify one client or matter in particular, I am perhaps most proud of a trial in a probono matter where the successful outcome directly impacted the client’s personal well-being, home and family. The ability to bring a measure of comfort through the legal process during a time of great turmoil is among the greatest satisfactions for me as a lawyer.
