What do you enjoy most about being a litigator?
I have always loved high-level intellectual debates. As a litigator, I am honored to engage in such debates with some of the best and brightest minds across the state and country. Win, lose or draw, I believe I emerge as a better and smarter person.
What do you see as the biggest changes in the legal industry in the next 3-5 years?
Without a doubt, the biggest challenge is the widely accepted and utilized “remote work” concept in the major firms. This has and will continue to make talent acquisition both easier and challenging. As large firms will be in the position to recruit top talent from mid-size and small firms, they will place mid-size and small firms at a competitive disadvantage as they will be unable to match income and benefits with those large firms.
What community organizations do you support as a volunteer and why?
I support The Urban League of Rochester because I strongly believe each one of us that are blessed to be in positions where we can give back and bring about change to the community has a moral obligation to do so. Through my board service and community support, I am able to mentor youth, educate low-income individuals on fiscal responsibility, and feed and clothe those in need.
