What do you enjoy most about practicing labor and employment law?
Labor and employment law is constantly evolving. My practice is broad-based, dynamic, and interesting. I work directly with employers and executives to solve problems and advise them on important issues, including, but not limited to, statutory and regulatory compliance, personnel policies and issues, workplace and governmental investigations, non-compete agreements and other restrictive covenants, unfair competition, wage and hour issues and collective bargaining. Additionally, I am fortunate to have the opportunity to regularly represent amazing clients in hearings, trials, appeals and arbitrations in state and federal courts, administrative bodies and arbitration forums in New York State and throughout the United States.
What community organizations do you support as a volunteer and why?
Among other things, I am currently a board member of the Michael J. Wilson Foundation. The Foundation was founded in 2019 by Matt Wilson in honor of his twin brother Mike. Mike died of Sepsis in 2015, at the age of 35. The Foundation has a simple but important mission: continue Mike’s spirit of having fun while raising Sepsis awareness and funding for improved diagnostics and treatment research. All of our fundraising activities are focused on having fun (which is definitely how Mike would have wanted it).
What is one personal goal you have for the next year?
Create great memories and plan a family adventure.
