Years in current role: 9
What are your expectations for the next 6-12 months?
The “Great Resignation” and corresponding empowerment of employees has created a lot of headaches and litigation expenses for employers of late, and I expect the onslaught of employment litigation, union organizing campaigns, and new regulatory requirements to continue for the foreseeable future. I’m really looking forward to continuing to partner with clients as they implement strategies to manage their people, retain their top talent, and mitigate workforce-related risk.
What advice would you give someone starting out as a litigator right now?
Use your resources (or “three before me” as my schoolteacher friends say). I love nothing more than making myself available to answer questions for my team, but I am always impressed when they’ve taken the initiative to try to (and often do!) find the answer on their own first.
What is one personal goal you have for the next year?
I hope to watch the Buffalo Bills win the Super Bowl in February 2023!
