Trevett CristoAfter nearly a century in downtown Rochester, Trevett Cristo PC will relocate to Brighton.

Trevett Cristo will depart the 10th floor of the Crossroads Office Building at Four Corners and move into the Canal View Office Park at the corner of South Winton Road and Brighton-Henrietta Town Line Road.

The new office will be operational as soon as Dec. 1.

“We are excited to move our headquarters to Brighton for various reason,” Lou Cristo, president of the firm, said in a news release. “Simply put, we are looking to offer our clients and staff a more convenient and welcoming experience.”

Ease of access to the location, as well as free parking, were among the reasons for the move.

“Our firm’s presence in the heart of Rochester spans more than 90 years,” Cristo said. “However, with the changing times, we made a strategic choice to relocate. This decision was driven by our commitment to adapt to the evolving needs of our clients and staff, and to establish a stronger foundation for the firm’s future success.”

Trevett Cristo becomes the third law firm to move to Brighton in two years. In 2021, McConville Considine Cooman & Morin, PC, anchored downtown for more than 40 years, relocated from the Talman Building at Four Corners to Meridian Centre in Brighton. Clark Peshkin, then Wesley Clark and Peshkin, moved from the Times Square Building at Exchange Boulevard and Broad Street to Linden Oaks in Brighton.

The Crossroads Building also has been hit hard by departures. In 2019, Woods Oviatt Gilman, one of Rochester’s largest law firms, vacated the building for new space in Legacy Tower at 1 Bausch & Lomb Place.
