Bottar Leone PLLC

Michael Bottar works diligently for his clients to investigate and prosecute medical malpractice, wrongful death and personal injury cases. In the past five years, he’s recovered more than $40 million for these clients. But his practice and breadth of involvement in the profession, not to mention a hefty list of accolades, demonstrate his devotion to the legal sphere.

Bottar, an attorney with Bottar Leone, PLLC of Syracuse, New York, is the youngest lawyer in central New York to be listed in the Best Lawyers, received the Best Lawyers 2017 Product Liability “Lawyer of the Year” award for Syracuse and received the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers “Rockstar” Award in 2015 for providing quality continuing education to the bar.

In 2011, Bottar, still under 40, accepted an adjust professor position with Syracuse University College of Law, where he teaches law practice management, a course designed to guide students on the types of tangible skills they’ll need to succeed. He’s provided legal instruction to over 1,000 attorneys in Syracuse, Albany, Rochester, Buffalo and throughout Long Island. Along with live instruction, he’s a proud author and was the past executive editor of the Syracuse Law Review. He’s also written course materials on topics including hearsay, damage proof, post-trial motions, social media discovery and the Federal Tort Claims Act.

“On a professional level, Michael truly epitomizes the very best of the legal profession,” wrote New York State Supreme Court Associate Justice Brian DeJoseph. “His written work is always timely, concise, accurate and persuasive. His demeanor and conduct in the courtroom is beyond reproach. I would describe Michael as highly intelligent and extremely competent; a dedicated professional and family man; an extraordinary lawyer and mentor; a true leader among his peers, and not to be overlooked, a genuinely great guy.”
