Jennifer Tarolli
Associate
Osborne, Reed & Burke LLP
Jennifer Tarolli started her legal career in New York City, working in a prosecutorial role to enforce provisions of the city’s administrative code. When she moved to Rochester in 2012, she moved to general practice, working in matrimonial and family law. But Tarolli found her niche in 2013, as a litigation associate with Osborn, Reed & Burke LLP in Rochester, and within a year, was a second chair in a multi-million dollar case that went to trial.
“The ability to actively participate in the defense of the suit, engaging in motion practice, examining witnesses, and settling the matter with a favorable outcome for our client was an accomplishment I could not have predicted I would achieve in less than five years of practice,” Tarolli said.
As an insurance defense lawyer, Tarolli has advocated for a wide range of clients – doctors, small businesses, hospitals, school districts, and residents. “I strive to understand my clients, who are worried about the impact of a lawsuit, and work toward a successful resolution in hopes of ensuring the best possible outcome with limited personal exposure.”
In her work with the Young Lawyers Section (YLS) of the Monroe County Bar Association, Tarolli has helped many organizations, but one stands out for her personally – Lollypop Farm in Fairport – because she adopted her dog, Lilly, there four years ago. She has helped organize the farm’s Barktober Fest and returned with Lilly for a fundraising walk.
Tarolli also has worked in the last three years with YLS in organizing an annual silent auction to benefit Rochester Teen Court. “The money raised at the auction allows the court to remain a viable resource for teens in the community,” she said. “I want to keep non-violent offenders from getting caught up in the criminal justice system.”
