Gleason Corp. has acquired Rochester-based Distech Systems Inc., which designs and manufactures factory automation systems and serves customers in the automotive and other industries. The existing Distech management team and entire staff are expected to remain intact.

Rochester-based Bergmann Associates has acquired Gantt Huberman Architects, a 26-member architecture firm in Charlotte, N.C.
