WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama is moving at a historic pace to try to diversify the nation’s federal judiciary: Nearly three of every four people he has gotten confirmed to the federal bench are women or minorities. SCOTUS: Jury selection process unconstitutional
In a unanimous opinion, the U.S. Supreme Court concluded that a defendant had not shown that a jury selection process that allegedly drained minorities from the jury pool before jurors in felony trials could be chosen was unconstitutional.
