Gillibrand seeks tougher fraud fines
(Dolan Media Newswires) — Saying Medicare and Medicaid abuses costs the nation and New York State billions of dollars annually, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand today unveiled legislation that would increase penalties and fines for Medicaid and Medicare fraud.
State offers $50M for hospitals
New York State will make available $50 million to help hospitals adjust to changes in Medicaid payment formulas, designed to reduce inpatient services in favor of outpatient care, the Department of Health announced.
