Representatives from Bank of America will be in Rochester for two days this week to meet with customers facing financial difficulties with their home loans.
Bank of America customers seeking information or assistance with applying for a mortgage modification program can schedule appointments to meet with bank representatives from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday at the Hyatt Regency Rochester Hotel, 125 East Main St.
“Providing an outreach event such as this is a great tool for homeowners who might be facing challenges with paying their mortgage,” said Mayor Thomas S. Richards. “I hope that these homeowners are able to take advantage of this opportunity to learn about options and find solutions to avoiding foreclosure.”
Bank of America mortgage customers interested in scheduling appointments should register in advance by calling 1-855-201-7426 or visiting www.bankofamerica.com/homeownerevent. The consultations are free and Spanish speaking loan specialists will also be on hand. Free parking for the event is available at the South Avenue Parking Garage, 39 Stone St.
Clients are asked to arrive prepared for their appointments with pertinent information and documents related to their mortgage. A checklist of the necessary documents, along with more information about this event is posted on the city’s website at: www.cityofrochester.gov/BoAforum.
Representatives from The Housing Council, a City-funded agency which assists and advocates for homeowners will also be at this event. Any City homeowner facing default may also contact the Council at (585) 546-3700 for help in avoiding foreclosure. This service is also provided free of charge.
