Former Buffalo lawyer nominated for NLRB post

Mark Gaston Pearce, who has ties to Buffalo, is being re-nominated by President Barack Obama to chair the , a post he has held since August 2011.

The founding partner of the Buffalo firm Creighton, Pearce, he has an NLRB member since March 2010.

Before founding his own firm, Pearce worked as an associate and junior partner at Lipsitz, Green, Fahringer, Roll, Salisbury & Cambria LLP from 1994 to 2002. From 1979 to 1994, he was a district trial specialist for the NLRB in Buffalo.

Nominated with him to serve as members are Harry I. Johnson III, a partner in the Los Angeles firm Arent Fox LLP; Philip A. Miscimarra, partner in the Labor and Employment Group of Morgan Lewis & Bockius LLP, Chicago office.
