LOCKPORT — An upstate New York grandfather returning home from vacation discovered damage to his walls and windows from a party that was thrown by his grandson.

He also found prescription medication missing, along with an iPad and several other things worth about $2,300.

Niagara County Sheriff’s deputies say they were called to the Lockport home early Sunday morning and found about 20 people there, several of whom fled. The Buffalo News reports that deputies were able to detain three people, including a 16-year-old who was charged with possessing marijuana.

Deputies say the grandson admits that he threw the party. The sheriff’s office alerted the grandfather before he got home.
