Phillips Lytle attorney selected as mentor

Randolph V. Clower, an associate with Phillips Lytle LLP, has been selected by MakerStaker.com as an intellectual property mentor.
MakerStaker.com is a Web portal allowing investors to make equity and non-equity investments in start-up businesses. The MakerStaker mentor program allows individuals or firms an opportunity to work directly with makers during the funding process, providing advice in specific areas of expertise required to commercialize a product.
Clower, a registered patent attorney, focuses his practice in intellectual property with experience in worldwide patent procurement, including prosecuting and preparing patent applications in several biotechnology and chemical areas.
He also prepares non-infringement and invalidity opinions, freedom-to-operate assessments, and patentability evaluations for individual inventors, university clients, small biotechnology companies and Fortune 500 clients.
He is admitted to practice in New York and Wisconsin.
