To ensure full public participation in its landmark regulatory reform efforts, the state Public Service Commission will conduct a hearing in Rochester on Wednesday to seek public input on its regulatory component of Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo’s energy plan, Reforming the Energy Vision.

The event will begin at 6 p.m. with an information session, followed by the hearing at 7 p.m. at Rochester City Hall, 30 Church St. It is one of several hearings being held across the state.

Specifically, the commission is considering a new business model for energy service providers where distributed energy resources become a primary tool in the planning and operation of the electric system.

The proposal may be reviewed online at http://on.ny.gov/1q2LQMq.

In addition to speaking at the formal hearings, members of the public may submit written comments electronically at [email protected] or by mail to Kathleen H. Burgess, Secretary, Public Service Commission, Three Empire State Plaza, Albany, N.Y. 12223-1350. Comments may also be submitted at 1-800-335-2120.
