What do you enjoy most about practicing real estate law?
The challenge! There are so many things that can go wrong on every deal. I love tackling and overcoming the challenges that come up every day! Seems like there is never a dull moment!
What has been the biggest challenge you’ve dealt with over the past year?
The biggest challenge by far has been the ever-changing dynamics of the pandemic and its impact on real estate development.
What do you see as the biggest changes in real estate law in the next 3-5 years?
1) Climate change and the impacts of battling climate change.
2) Interest rate hikes — As interest rates climb, we may see a slowdown in development activity.
3) The beginning of post-pandemic life and the evolution of working remotely.
