What has been your biggest success over the past year?

My goal this year was to build a strong and diversified real estate department with a collaborative and collegial work environment. Being able to serve our clients at the highest level while at the same time having an enjoyable work environment was a difficult challenge, but with the administrative staff, paralegals and attorneys that are currently in our department, we have excelled in meeting this challenge.

What are your expectations for the next 6-12 months?

It’s going to be an interesting and challenging period. Uncertainty about interest rates and the impending recession will have an impact on the number of transactions that take place, but the Rochester community has always been resilient, so I don’t see much, if any, of a drop off.

What do you enjoy most about practicing law in the Rochester area?

Rochester has a very active business community, which generates interesting and complex legal issues. It is still a rather small community, and you get to personally know both the businesspeople and the other attorneys that represent the opposing parties. There is a level of trust amongst the attorneys here that doesn’t exist in larger cities, which makes practicing law here more enjoyable.
