Kristen is a transactional attorney focusing her practice on representing individuals and companies in real estate, corporate, and estate planning matters.
Kristen concentrates her practice on the representation of real estate developers in acquiring, financing and transferring of office, multifamily, retail and mixed-use properties within New York State and nationwide. Kristen’s practice involves the representation of real estate purchasers and owners with various loan transactions including CMBS, agency lenders including Freddie Mac and national lenders. She also represents regional lending intuitions in real estate and asset-based lending. With over ten years of experience working on residential real estate matters, Kristen has handled all aspects of residential transactions.
Additionally, she practices in the area of corporate law, assisting with entity formation, and structuring and the purchase and sale of businesses. She advises clients on a wide range of business matters including incorporations, contract drafting, lease review, and corporate restructuring and reorganizations.
Kristen also practices in the field of estate planning, offering guidance to individuals when developing a comprehensive plan for their unique situations, assisting with drafting wills and estate planning documents and facilitating estate administration proceedings.
A native of Auburn, N.Y., Kristen received her undergraduate degree from St. John Fisher College and her law degree from Syracuse University College of Law. During law school, Kristen served as form and accuracy editor of the Syracuse Journal of International Law and Commerce, was a student attorney at the Elder Law Clinic, and spent one year working at the United States Attorney’s Office. At graduation, Kristen received special recognition for her pro bono service.
A member of the Monroe County Bar Association and New York State Bar Association, she was recognized in 2018 with an Excellence in the Law Award as an Up & Coming Attorney by The Daily Record, which recognizes attorneys demonstrating significant commitment and contribution to the legal profession early in their careers. In 2022, she was named to The Daily Record’s Power 20 Real Estate Law List showcasing attorneys that lead the local real estate community and make decisions that impact and spark innovation within real estate. Lastly, Kristen has been selected multiple times to the Upstate New York Rising Stars list by Super Lawyers, an honor reserved for 2.5% of Upstate Attorneys who exhibit excellence in legal practice. She, her husband, and their two children live in Pittsford. When not with family, Kristen enjoys playing golf and paddle with friends.
