What do you enjoy most about your position?

As a litigator, it is a privilege to work closely with our clients in the intellectual property, commercial, and employee benefits and tax arenas to help advance their strategic interests and defend their rights. As the Practice Group Leader for our Commercial and Intellectual Property Litigation Group, I am fortunate to have the opportunity to directly mentor, train, and support our more junior attorneys and witness their strong developmental progress.

What are the biggest current challenges facing litigators?

Given the increasingly broad scope of traditional discovery and e-discovery, managing the economics of litigation is always a challenge, requiring open, frank, and regular communications with clients about case strategies and objectives.

What do you think the biggest change in your practice area will be over the next 3-5 years?

The continuing evolution of AI technologies is likely to impact all areas of the practice in the coming years, including litigation.
