WDNY honors former Judge Harold P. Burke with anniversary event

United States District Court for the Western District of New York will premiere a special tribute to former District Court Judge Harold P. Burke on Thursday at the Strong National Museum of Play.
The event, scheduled for 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., is part of the Court’s 125th anniversary celebration.
The tribute will feature a video of a panel discussion moderated by Democrat and Chronicle news reporter Gary Craig, featuring Rochester attorneys Anthony Palermo, Michael Wolford, David Rothenberg, Joan O’Byrne, James Hartman and James Philippone.
The panel discusses practicing law in front of Burke, who served from 1937 through 1981. The group offers unique insights into Burke’s significant contributions to the legal community and the Western District.
The Court also will be honoring members of the bar who have practiced law for more than 50 years.
The District will be celebrating the anniversary throughout 2025 with various events. For more information, click hhereere.
