New York Bar Foundation accepting grant applications

Listen to this articleThe New York Bar Foundation is accepting grant applications from nonprofit organizations providing legal services in New York state.
The deadline for applications is midnight on Sept. 30. Applications are available here.
In 2026, the foundation will focus on programs that help low-income individuals with the essentials of life, including housing stability and homelessness prevention, access to quality education, family and domestic safety, support for small businesses and economic sufficiency, and legal advocacy for veterans.
Grants are directed to programs that provide legal assistance to low-income New Yorkers with unmet legal needs.
The foundation is the charitable entity of the New York State Bar Association. It is a nonprofit philanthropic organization that receives charitable contributions and provides grants to financially support law-related programs of legal services organizations, nonprofits, bar associations, and other organizations throughout the state.
