An Upper Bucks County, PA, man no longer face an attempted murder charge for shooting at a DoorDash driver who he complained took too long to deliver his food.

Richlandtown resident Keilan McKeever, 33, entered an open guilty plea to two felony counts of aggravated assault and related misdemeanors in the incident last year in a Bucks County court appearance June 16.

Prosecutors dropped an attempted murder charge on Tuesday, but McKeever still faces a potential maximum sentence of up to 30 years in state prison on the felony charges.

Common Pleas Judge Stephen Corr accepted the plea and deferred sentencing until September.  McKeever remains incarcerated in Bucks County in lieu of $200,000 bail.

Pennsylvania State Police allege McKeever shot at a 19-year-old Quakertown man shortly before 10 p.m. when he delivered his DoorDash order to his home in the 100 block of Cherry Street on March 22, 2025.

McKeever was angry over how long it took for his food to arrive and started yelling at the driver and following him as he walked to his car, authorities alleged.

The driver, Khalik Lewis, had started delivering food to earn money to fix his car shortly before he was shot at.

Lewis told police he handed the bag of cheesesteaks to McKeever, who was on the front porch dressed in a robe and pants. McKeever started yelling at him for being late and saying his food was cold, Lewis said.

Lewis got back in his Honda Civic and started looking at the details for his next delivery when he allegedly saw McKeever standing behind his car making an obscene hand gesture.

As Lewis started driving away he saw his rear window shatter and felt debris hit his head, authorities said.  The driver, who was not injured, pulled over at the intersection with 1st Avenue and called 911.

When state troopers arrived to talk to the driver he told them he felt metal fragments fall from his hair. The fragments appeared to be the color of a metal bullet jacket and core, the affidavit said.

When troopers spoke with McKeever he admitted arguing with the driver over the delivery time and he heard a backfire noise when the driver honked his horn after pulling away.

Police executed a search warrant of McKeever’s home and found three firearms including a 9mm-Luger, and a cartridge containing bullets consistent with the debris found at the scene.
