Criminal defense and DWI attorney
Palermo Tuohy Bruno PLLC

Edward R. Palermo “is a godsend” to his client, Afsaneh Javaherforoush. “He is the most loyal, dedicated, kind-hearted attorney that truly cares about his clients,” Javaherforoush said.
Javaherforoush described him as “a phenomenal attorney who goes above and beyond the call of duty for all his clients.” Palermo and his firm support the Marcie Mazzola Foundation and sponsor the Foundation’s annual run, she noted. The Foundation in Commack, Suffolk County, helps abused and at-risk children.

Palermo is a criminal defense and DWI attorney and a founding partner of the law firm Palermo Tuohy Bruno PLLC in Happauge, Suffolk County. Palermo, who earned his law degree at Hofstra University Maurice A. Deane School of Law, was admitted to the bar in 1994. In a video posted on, Palermo says he has offices in both Suffolk and Nassau counties. “I immensely enjoy what I do. I love helping people. I love meeting individuals who need help and trust in me to handle their case,” he said in the video.

“Nothing gives me greater satisfaction than getting a case from an individual who obviously is very upset and distraught over the situation they’re in and guiding them through it and helping them deal with the emotions and the feelings and giving them a clear path to a favorable resolution, a favorable outcome in their caser,”he said in the video.

“When you call me that’s my first priority, is to sit down with you explain the situation, make you understand it. That knowledge is very important for clients, knowing that they have me in their corner is very important,” he said in the video. “I’m a very aggressive attorney when it comes to representing my clients. I do believe in zealous advocacy,” he said in the video.
“I built my practice on that foundation,” he said.
