Ward Norris Heller & Reidy LLP will merge with Philadelphia-based Daller Greenberg & Dietrich LLP effective April 1, the firms announced Monday.
The combined firm, Ward Greenberg Heller & Reidy LLP, will continue to represent institutional clients in civil litigation, internal and governmental investigations and related matters and will have more than 40 lawyers and associated paraprofessionals practicing in New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.
“The strength of a law firm is in the mutual respect among its lawyers as well as their technical skills and judgment,” said Harold Kurland, partner at Ward Norris, in a statement. “We have worked closely with the Daller Greenberg lawyers for many years, and we have a similar approach in how we use strong litigation skills in a practical way to benefit our clients.
“This merger will increase our depth and our geographic reach, and provide greater opportunities to serve existing and new clients with litigation needs in the mid-Atlantic region, throughout New York, and beyond,” he said.
Formed in 2000, Ward Norris is currently the largest group of litigation attorneys in Rochester, according to Monday’s announcement. The firm handles commercial, construction, employment, intellectual property, insurance coverage, bankruptcy, toxic tort/mass tort, product liability, medical malpractice defense, healthcare, education and real estate assessment litigation throughout New York and elsewhere.
Daller Greenberg was founded in 1994 in Pennsylvania and later opened offices in New Jersey and Delaware.
The firm serves clients involved in commercial, construction, mass tort, product liability and employment discrimination cases, primarily in the mid-Atlantic.
