The Rochester law firm of ChamberlainD’Amanda is expanding its personal service practice group by adding Gould, Peck, Metzler & Cognata LLP, a local firm with a family law concentration.
Lewis J. Gould, of counsel; Suzanne L. Cognata, partner; Eric J. Metzler, partner; and Matthew J. Mix, associate, will join ChamberlainD’Amanda’s Family Law Practice Group.
Gould started practicing law with his father, the late Hyman G. Gould, in 1961. He is a former member of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and served on the Board of Managers, New York State chapter.
“After many years of practicing law, I look forward to joining this group of distinguished lawyers, some of whom served our community as judges in the Supreme and Family Courts,” Gould said in a statement.
“The merging of the Gould, Peck attorneys will result in the firm being able to offer our clients representation by the preeminent family law practice in Western New York,” Managing Partner Edward C. Radin said in a statement.
“Gould, Peck was a natural move because we follow a similar approach in representing our clients,” said James A. Vazzana, partner and leader of the Family Law Practice Group.
ChamberlainD’Amanada has offices in Rochester, Canandaigua and Penn Yan, New York and this year is celebrating its 130th anniversary.
