The Foundation of the Monroe County Bar is seeking people to serve on its board of directors, starting in the 2014-15 year.
As the charitable arm of the Monroe County Bar Association, the foundation supports programs like the DEAFund, Rochester Diversity Clerkship Program, Lawyers for Learning, ACT (Assisting Children through Transition), Rochester Teen Court and more.
The foundation also has been an integral partner in the creation of the Telesca Center for Justice. Participation on the foundation’s board ensures the good work continues for the benefit of the greater legal community.
Directors serve a maximum of two three-year terms. Attendance is expected at regular board and committee meetings, as well as participation in fundraising efforts and events throughout the year.
