A Rochester 911 Center employee, Tim Scott, was scheduled to be arraigned Monday on a misdemeanor charge of forcible touching.

He was arrested on Nov. 4 by the Rochester Police Department, which is continuing its investigation.
The city is cooperating fully and is conducting an administrative investigation.

“Creating a safe and secure work environment for all of our employees is of the utmost importance,” said Mayor Lovely A. Warren. “We set a high standard for our workers and both the administration and the public expect all of our employees to conduct themselves with honesty and integrity. However, when they conduct themselves in inappropriate ways that threaten either the public trust or the welfare of our people, we will not hesitate to step in and intervene.”

The employee, like all city employees, went through training to prevent sexual harassment on the job. Scott has worked for the city for seven years. He is suspended pending the outcome of the police case.  No additional information was offered.
