RIT gets $3 million gift to endow business prof

Listen to this articleThe Rochester Institute of Technology has received a $3 million gift to establish an endowed chair in its business school.
The Rochester Democrat and Chronicle reports that the Eugene Fram Endowed Chair in Critical Thinking will be created in RIT‘s E. Philip Saunders College of Business. RIT, which announced the gift on Friday, said it’s the second largest gift from an alumnus. The donor asked to remain anonymous.
The chair is named for Eugene Fram, a prominent marketing professor and retail expert who retired in 2008 after 51 years of teaching.
The new position will develop and teach courses that encourage critical thinking at all of RIT’s nine colleges.
