Work to restart at proposed casino site in the Finger Lakes

Listen to this articleTYRE — Developers of a proposed Finger Lakes casino say they will restart site construction work immediately now that local officials have approved their plan for a second time.
The town board of Tyre unanimously approved the final site plan for the Lago Resort & Casino on Thursday night. The board had to review the application for a second time after an appeals court faulted the way it determined that the project would have no significant adverse environmental impacts.
Work on the casino site off the Thruway had been halted since the court ruling this summer.
Lago could be one of four new casinos in New York. State regulators are expected to make final license decisions this year.
