Rochester Carpenters Local 276 is undergoing a major renovation, which will result in major improvements to its 22,500-square-foot training center in Rochester. To handle the $2,030,000 project, the union has selected commercial contractor Manning Squires Hennig as its general contractor.
The project includes the renovation of existing space including new walls, ceilings and floors, office space and several bathrooms. The building will receive a new heating system and upgraded electric with new lighting.
“Manning Squires Hennig is signatory with the carpenters union and we have a longstanding relationship,” said Jeff House, project manager for MSH. “Many of our carpenters have gone to this training facility, are known to the employees working at the facility and are excited about having their members working on the project. Our superintendent graduated from their training program, and they have expressed that they are pleased to know the upcoming project is in good hands.”
The project is scheduled to begin in December and will be completed by April 15, 2016.
