Redi Imports, the automotive repair business that specializes in European- and Japanese-made vehicles, will be opening a new location in the town of Greece.
Owner Ryan Lynch, through Red I Property Holdings LLC, closed on the purchase of a former Monro Inc. facility at 1866 Stone Rd. on Feb. 17. The selling price was $850,000. The property sits on the eastern edge of Stoneridge Plaza.
The acquisition means Redi will close its location at 188 Railroad St. in the city of Rochester. The transition is expected to take place in mid to late April.
“We’ve been in the city 20-plus years so it’s a little bit of a bummer, but the techs all live on the west side (of Monroe County) and we’ll be doubling the size of our shop,” Lynch said.
Redi Imports also has shops in Webster and Victor. Once the Greece facility opens, Redi will have 25 service bays and 18 technicians. That includes the only ASE blue seal-certified technicians working on cars in Monroe County, Lynch said.
While Redi specializes in imports, technicians work on all makes.
“We still service Fords to Ferraris,” Lynch said.
