Teamsters Local 118 in Rochester has ratified a new four-year agreement with the Greece Central School District.
The agreement, covering nearly 800 employees working within the central offices, food service, transportation and facility operations, was overwhelming approved by the membership.
Highlights of the agreement include wage schedule increases of 10 percent over the term of the agreement and maintenance of the current healthcare plans. The agreement also provides new language that will help convert part-time hours into full-time benefit eligible positions within the transportation unit.
“Our members gave us a clear mandate to protect their healthcare benefits,” said Mike Maynard, vice president and business agent of Local 118. “We accomplished this goal and provided meaningful wage increases along with other contract language improvements.”
Local 118 represents approximately 4,500 members throughout the greater Rochester area.
