What’s one misconception people often have about your area of law?

Trial practice is not glamorous. People sometimes think that courtroom practice is all bravado. In fact, successful trial work involves 90% sweat equity, with endless hours of research and preparation. And even believing you have uncovered all of the nuances of your case, your opponent is doing exactly the same thing, and each is looking to expose the other side’s shortcomings in a live setting before a panel of jurors. Way more pressure than glamour!
